If the statistics are correct, nearly half of those considering a visit to a church will look at the website first! The truth is that people want to know what to expect at a church before they visit. You can also visit our sermon archive on this page to hear recent messages.  This is an exciting time to be a part of FBCO.  We invite you to join us as we seek to follow Christ and make Him known both here in our community and beyond.  

 

Parking: Our parking lot is located behind the church building. There is also plenty of parking available downtown if you can’t find a spot in the lot.

 

Entering the Building: There are two entrances located at the back of the church buildings. If you enter the western-most door (the sanctuary door), an usher or greeter will kindly welcome you and show you where to go for Sunday School or for our main Worship Service.

 

Sunday School: If you arrive for our 9:30a.m. Sunday School, a greeter will help you find your way to the right class. If you are attending with a child, you will be instructed by our workers on how to check your child into thier Sunday School class

 

Attending with Children: If you would like a tour of our facility to find out what your child will experience in the nursery or preschool department, call the church office and a tour can be arranged. We want to do whatever it will take for you to be comfortable visiting FBCO.

Nursery – Toddlers | Newborn – 2 Years Old

At FBCO our little ones are attentively cared for and will hear God’s word through songs and reading. In our toddler class, children will begin to learn about the Bible, prayer, how much God loves them and how we glorify the one true God with our lives.

 

Preschool | 3 Years Old – Kindergarten

The preschool department partners with parents to equip the next generation and make disciples. Each Sunday, kids are engaged through songs, reading of the bible, and hands-on activities. Kids are encouraged to hide God’s word in their heart through memorizing scripture.

Children’s Classes | 1-6 Grade

 

Youth Classes | 7-12 Grade: We have several classes for teenagers.

 

Adult Classes | All Ages: There is a place for everyone in Sunday School!

 

The Worship Service: Our services last about 80 minutes. In the first half of the service, we sing, pray, and read the Bible. We sing all kinds of music during our service, some old and some new. Everyone is encouraged to participate and sing with enthusiasm. During the second half of the service, we hear an expositional sermon from a passage of Scripture from our pastor.

 

Children’s Church: Children aged 4yrs – 2nd Grade are dismissed before the sermon for Children’s Church, where they will be taught Christ from the Bible and with the help of crafts and music. However, a child may prefer to stay in the main service.

 

There is no dress code. The pastor often wears a suit, but sometimes he wears jeans. Most people dress casual to business casual. Nobody is concered about what anybody is wearing.
