Giving Sundays, November 3 & 10, 2024

This Sunday and next Sunday we will be making pledges in our church service toward our new building. We are asking every member, and anyone who attends who feels led to do so, to make a sacrificial contribution toward the new Education Building in the form of a 3-year pledge.

For many, it is easier to think about breaking up a gift over three years than trying to make it all at once (unless you are able, of course). Here is how the pledges work. For example:

$400 per month ($100 per week) over 36 months = a gift of $14,400
$200 per month ($50 per week) over 36 months = a gift of $7,200
$100 per month ($25 per week) over 36 months = a gift of $3,600

Some can give much more, some will give less. Prayerfully consider what you will give. With a little discipline, we can all give a sacrificial gift that will honor the Lord and help toward this project.

This coming Sunday we will play our campaign video in church and then we will have an opportunity to bring pledge cards down and put them in a basket at the foot of the cross.

If you have already made a pledge, you can just put a blank card in the basket. After making pledges we will spend time in prayer as individuals and families at the alter, asking for God’s leading in this process. Getting up and moving and coming forward to the alter to pray will allow us to get a sense of the corporate commitment we are making.

I know if may seem strange to put a blank card in the basket, but you are demonstrating commitment, which is encouraging your church family. This also helps to build unity among our congregation. I feel that if we are going to be able to raise the funds to complete this project, knowing we are in this together is crucial! I look forward to seeing you on Sunday!

We will make an announcement of pledge totals after church on November 10 and celebrate what God has done as we eat lunch together at the All-Church Potluck. The Meat will be provided by the church. Bring side dishes and desserts.
